Galway Pub Scrawl #46 - A Disapproval of Grannies

Another night out for the Galway Pub Scrawl! We had to move around the pub a few times cos the place was kind of full, but we eventually got settled and got down to business!

Here are your photos:

Mo and Ashy get drawing!

Ash's Pub Scrawl -

Mo's pic. I screwed up on the flash. The human skull is saying "Hey Buddy, why the long face?" :)

Yolande & Jodi make our craft corner!

I'm in a picture!

Myself and Jenny have a Totoro-off! Somehow hers is cute and mine looks hungover.

Jenny was on a Miyazaki kick - No-Face and some of those rattle head guys!

Myself, Jenny, Patrick and Helen at work.

Eoghan and Cathy almost seem to be studying..

At least until Cathy starts making comics!

Patrick is in a mood...

... to make cool sketches!

Helen at work...

The end of the table at work.

Mary working on Sleeping Beauty...

Ger with his work - a blank page!!!!

Only kidding. Ger was really busy this evening, I screwed the picture with the flash again.

And Keith felt that our bartender should be honoured on the blog because of this finely drawn pint.

Back in two weeks with another Galway Pub Scrawl!

Galway Pub Scrawl #45 - Working on being 30% Sexier

McSwiggans was soooooooo busy last monday. It's like everyone everywhere poured into the place. We squeezed into some corners and got on with the job. This is work, people. :)

Photos!

Aghna did this little guy -

Jenny gave us a post apocalyptic songbird -

Patrick is looking 30% sexier. Or at least there's about 30% less of him!

... but his mind turns to running Bosco for President! Psychopath (Pat or Bosco? You decide).

Is Yolande knitting a familiar character? I think so.

Eibhlin works on a face in her overlapping pen colour style - looking great!

And my contribution.

Tune in in two weeks for the next Pub Scrawl!

Our new-style Facebuck group page is open for business! You can join it with the like button on the right, or follow this link through and join in for notifications etc etc etc.

Pictures on the way from Monday night. It was CRAzY buSY in McSwiggans that night, but we squeezed into a corner and drew. I'll throw them up here in the next few hours.

Galway Pub Scrawl #44 - Everytime you steal a soul...

Sorry about the delay in getting pics up from the last Pub Scrawl! It's been a hectic month. Anyway, due to BLAH BLAH BLAH we ended up back in the safe arms of McSwiggans :P

It's hard to remember what was going on by now, but I'm sure these happy smiling faces prove we were having the craic, right?

Right. Anyway, the next Pub Scrawl is on the 8th of August. By the calendar we should have had one yesterday, but it's Horse Racing season here in Galway, so everywhere is disgusting and sane people stay indoors. Now I need a catchy title...

Friday, July 15, 2011

The next Pub Scrawl will fall during Race Week, offically speaking. So screw that noise. There'll be a fortnight off, then a Pub Scrawl to follow. Keep an eye out here for more updates. I have photos etc from last monday, but its been a crazy week. I'll post them later.

Galway Pub Scrawl #43 Dorian Gray vs Twilight

Fun times at the most recent Pub Scrawl! (I have several stock phrases. Fun Times seems to be one. Pretty Good... Fair Play... I don't know... anyways)

Good old gathering at the Pub Scrawl -

My own effort - workings towards a comic I'm doing for POW!

Jodi continues to embroider - it's looking good.

Oisin gives us a... questionable... piece. :)

Mary does some awesome work from reference pics...

Jenny was in Haiku mood - here's one for Mary's pic.

We're all working hard -

John a good trolley in a river sketch. :D

So Jenny gives his piece a Haiku as well.

Ger does some *awesome* Power Armour.

Linda sticks it to the theme.

Iggy does some of the good stuff.

John gives us a second piece. Sorry about the exposure...

Linda did this cool painting of a tree on her Android Tablet device... an Archos, I think. The program she was using was called Paint Joy I think. There's a free version as well. It was very versatile and powerful.

So Ger grabbed the tablet and did a quick pic of Arnie! :D

That's that! For the next time around, on July 11th, for Galway Pub Scrawl #44 - Every time you steal a soul, you get an inch taller, we're moving to The Townhouse Bar which faces the Spanish Arch area. Just around here.
