Admin Monday 24th SEPT 2012... Whaddya mean it's the 26th

Another round of announcements and links for the Galway Pub Scrawl! Sorry it's a bit late, it's been a crazy week.

Announcements:

We had an AMAZING time at our third birthday last Monday. Go back and check out the photos! There was Cake!

And our most recent partnership with 091 labs for Culture Night was last Friday. Check out those photos too!

We're fast approaching my plan for the next group-wide project - a little plan I like to think of as Sketchtoberfest! Check out the page for more details. :)

Linda pointed us in the direction of this interesting post by the Galway Continental Christmas Market... anyone have any ideas for us reaching out to them?

Also, everyone should go "like" Mykul's Sword Page on Facebook to help him beat someone else in the race of Likes. :)

New remote Scrawler, Joris Burla, filled the gap in our 31 Day Drawing Challenge - The Tarot - with this awesome pic of The Tower. Joris may be familiar to me from conceptart.org... then again, we're not saying. :P

If I were a Millionaire, I'ld soon be penniless buying Golden Age Illustration paintings...

I really liked these Origami-based artworks by Marc Fichou.

These photos by Dominik Smialowski made a weirdly poignant story...

I'm probably going to plump money for this awesome book by Aly Fell as my Christmas present to myself.

Also, you just have a few more days to investigate Top Shelf Comix' amazing annual sale!

Chris Schweizer offers these print-out-and-play Dr. Who designs!

I thought these photos of decay and fungi on the Jungle floor were beautiful.

We saw pictures of Pirates for Talk like a Pirate Day.

I found a fun Comics Jam tool on the internet.

And that was that! Make sure to tune in Monday for Galway Pub Scrawl #71 - Sketchtoberfest Begins!

Sketchtoberfest!

I'm lining up a new fun activity for the Scrawl for October I'm calling Sketchtoberfest. I have the details over on Facebook on this event page. I shall give more details on a tab up top of the page here as well.

If you want to get involved, pick out an old sketch you have that you feel didn't quite work out and get ready to spend some time being inspired by someone else's work! :)

GPS loves exhibiting at 091 labs!

... and we made a show of ourselves! Wa wa wa.

This was all for our exhibit all along one wall of 091 Labs as part of Culture Night last night, the 21st of September! More here and here.

I don't have time to fill you guys in on everything right now, as more socialising beckons, but I shall edit this post later. Anyway, who cares what I have to say - here's the Art!

Don't forget we've been asked to exhibit all along one wall in 091 Labs as part of Culture Night tonight, the 21st of September! More here and here.

I'm really looking forward to this, you guys. Huge thanks to all our members and the guys in iSupply Quay Street, as well as the amazing folks in 091 labs. Be there to snag a preview version of our upcoming comic book, CLANTHOLOGY.

THIRD BIRTHDAY PARTY WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY-HEY!

Huge, huge doings tonight as we celebrate Pub Scrawl's 3rd Birthday! Celebrations, sketches, cake and crafts! Thanks SO MUCH to all of y'all who came on down to have fun in the Pub.

There's still the exhibition in 091 labs for Culture Night this Friday, you guys. I am super excited. :) I hope it'll be at least approaching the fun of the birthday party.

Here's your pics - I have to get a few hours sleep before work in the morning, so full commentary, links, etc. when I have a chance!

Again, thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate. I have a little plan for next month called Sketchtoberfest! May the Pub Scrawl be ten times as good by this time next year - everyone who comes and participates makes the Pub Scrawl that much better every year, minimum. We are now at least a hundred times better than we were at the start. :D
