Fun times at tonight's Scrawl! Thanks so much to all attendees, the regulars, the irregulars & the new & fresh. No-one wants to read me rabbiting on, so the only thing to put out there is that the next Scrawl will be on January 10th, 2011. Two weeks time is January 3rd, which is the tail end of everything, whereas by the 10th we'll be sick of holidays, bored of resolutions and have broken all our presents.
Then it'll be back to the Art.
Pictures from tonight!

Great night at the Pub Scrawl on Monday!!! I was working today so the posting is late - I also forgot to bring my good camera so everything is crappy phone photos... Sorry! I also missed getting a picture of Oisin's sketches. Ooops!
UPDATE:
Oisin strikes back against accusations that his picture wasn't captured with this fine addition to our ranks -
And now - pictures!!!

Apologies for no update last week, it was for various reasons, some too tedious to remember, some too exciting to go into in a short blog post. Or indeed remember.
There was a great Pub Scrawl last week, and another coming up next monday. I went on a grand ambassadorial visit to Cork Drink & Draw last tuesday as well, fun was had by all!
Join us Monday the 6th of December 2010 in McSwiggan's for the next Pub Scrawl! We shall draw and drink and laugh.

ImagineFX in your face!!!!!!!!
Last night's last-minute post may have been slightly premature! I should have held on for the morning to post that we've been featured in ImagineFX! Yeah! Huge thanks again to Beren on staff and Linda Boonstra from the 'Scrawl for organising this. Here's our half-page:
and again, I would have procrastinated forever about setting up a Pub Group if it hadn't been for Eva setting up the Drink & Draw Cork and showing how it's done. Also, they were featured last month in ImagineFX! Go the domination of the Irish groups! Also, run over to Eva's professional facebook page and like the hell out of it! You will when you see her stuff.
Thanks to all involved, and roll on another year of the Pub Scrawl!

Missed midnight GMT again, so new post tuesday? Hey, like, only a few dozen miles west it's still monday, so next time I'll rush to International Waters for monday posts.
:)
Another quick recommendation for you guys - http://www.sketchoholic.com/ - with daily drawing contests to win work by the incredibly prolific Bobby Chiu, these are fun little contests to participate in, or even just watch and vote in.
Ciao!

Galwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Puuuuuuuuuuub Scraaaaaaaaaaaaaawl
Another fun night at the Pub Scrawl -
We did some visual "Exquisite Corpse" - some of these were quite fun.
And then some more of the more usual!

Ooops, new post tuesday
The walk to Tesco's was such a struggle against the wind that I missed midnight! No huge news, but make sure to check this out - conceptart.org's Self Portrait Day thread!
Technically the 1st is Self Portrait day, but I'll have to post there tomorrow. If previous year's form is anything to go by, it won't matter so much.
Next monday evening is Pub Scrawl time! Make sure to be there!

I wasn't there, but there is plenty to go around! Well done to the guys. Keep an eye out for my update next week, and Monday 08 NOV 2010, the next Pub Scrawl, where we shall play visual Exquisite Corpse or else a comic panel game like the Dublin Comic Jam guys.

Orsh mentions on a monday
Howdy all.
I'm getting distracted by The Brides of Dracula, a fantastic (in 1 meaning of the word or other) old Hammer Horror movie, but I'll still stick up a notification.
There was a rumour passed to me via James Newell that there may be some relaxation of the "student's only" limitation on the life drawing classes in the Cluain Mhuire campus. Specifically, there may be an open class on tuesday evenings. I'm going to nose around up there tomorrow evening perhaps, see what I can see.
If you go to enough Life Drawing, you might get as good as Kevin Wuest, whose blog is really outstanding.
But you need some other skills to be as damn, down-right brilliant as Colleen Coover manages to be.
Also, I ran across the best 24 hour comic I think I've seen (NSFW)!
Anyway, I'll be out of town for the Pub Scrawl (next monday! 25th OCT 2010) but I am expecting Hallow'een themed sketches to photograph & post on my return on tuesday/wednesday!

This post will be followed up tomow or wed, once I have a few ducks lined up. The Pub Scrawl was great fun this week, really nice atmosphere even though the nights are getting darker and colder. Thanks to all who came!
There'll be a post by wednesday, something else on the art topics next monday & the next pub scrawl is Monday the 25th Oct 2010 in McSwiggans. Be there!
