31 Day Drawing Challenge JUL 2015 - Alphabet Animals with the Gord & Jay Talk Art Podcast

There was a few technical difficulties, but the guys are running live - here's the link!


It's Day 14 of our Drawing Challenge and this is a fun one! It's Alphabet Animals with The Gord & Jay Talk Art Podcast. Here's the idea - do an Animal based on the first letter in it's name, but pick an unusual example for that letter - no "D is for Dog and E is for Elephant"!

Gordon has been kind enough make some cool examples, you can find the few he has been working on posted on his blog. But as we are linking in with Gordon and Jay's podcast, there will also be a live Google+ stream of the guys talking and recording their show and discussing the topic at 8 PM Irish Time.

Admin Monday (Tuesday?) 20 OCT 2014 (and lots and lots of catch-up, you'd swear I wasn''t paying attention for weeks)

It's another Admin Monday wrap-up from your friendly local Pub Scrawl! I haven't done one of these in a while, so bear with me on any mistakes. ;)

Pubscrawl regular Jay Penn and friend of Pub Scrawl/Drawing Challenge regular Gordon MacKay have started their own Podcast, Gord and Jay talk Art. Follow their exploits at the blog and like their page on Facebook to show them some love.

The next Dr. Sketchy's Galway on the 8th of November is the last one of the year! Make sure to come FILL THE PLACE UP and show them the love they deserve for having given us a great year of amazing themes, performances and Art! This one is 80's HAIR METAL THEME!!! How can you NOT go?

INKtober is in full swing! There are so many amazing people making so much amazing Art with just pen and ink (and maybe occasionally some cheating) all over Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook etc etc. It was all started by the notorious Mr. Jake Parker, but a good way to keep up is to check out the Inktober Bot on twitter - it retweets everything with the #inktober hashtag.

Alanna linked us to this Tumblr by Aubrey Williams - the illustrations of animal anatomy in it are fantastic!
